Nimitz, Chester W.  Magnificent Signed Photograph, 11 in. x 14 in., black & white, the incredibly famous image depicts Fleet Admiral of U.S. and Allied forces during World War II, Chester Nimitz, signing the “Japanese Surrender” aboard the U.S.S. Missouri taken in Tokyo Bay September 2, 1945.  On the wide margin below the image, Nimitz has inscribed in ink, “To William E. Reeves, Chief Electrician’s Mate, USN, ret, with best wishes and warm regards to an old shipmate.  C.W. Nimitz, Fleet Admiral, USN”. A beautiful image with nice inscription.  In fine condition.
